Study Weekend

  • June 2008  Eugene, Oregon
  • June 2009  Victoria, British Columbia
  • June 2010  Seattle, Washington
  • June 2011  Portland, Oregon

This popular three-day event, which Debra Prinzing once aptly described as “Horticultural Summer Camp for Grownups,” rotates between the NPA in Seattle and its sister organizations in Oregon and Canada. It was held in Seattle in 2006 and will return in 2010.

This year’s event in Eugene on June 20-22 is "Breaking the Rules" with Helen Dillon, Bleddyn Wynn-Jones, Anthony James Noel, Linda Buetler, and Whitey Lueck. It includes tours of inspiring and rarely seen gardens and plant, art and book sales. You can read all the details at www.thehardyplantgroup.org.

In 2009, Study Weekend will be hosted by the Hardy Plant Group of the Victoria Horticultural Society. It will be held in Sydney, BC on June 19-21. "deVine Visions" will feature Dan Heims, Philip MacDougall, Julie Moir Messervy, and Mary Toomey. Click here for more details.

Tickets to Study Weekend usually do sell out, which brings us to another advantage of NPA membership: We make sure our members get first dibs on tickets by getting them the registration information early. Not a member? Join NPA today.
