Hellebore Open House and Plant Sale

This unique sale kicks off the local plant sale season. It’s held in early March (March 2nd this year) at the Bellevue Botanical Garden Visitor Center. Driving directions. The show has evolved from its humble beginnings seven years ago into a successful event with a long line of gardeners waiting for the sale to begin.

The sale is known for its unique specialties, spring ephemerals and treasures not readily found elsewhere. Perhaps best of all, it offers the opportunity to obtain an off-spring of the many rare plants in the Borders.

Of course this is also the place to find a wide range of hellebores. A cut hellebore flower display inside the Visitor Center illustrates the variety of these early perennials: singles, doubles, clear whites to intense purples.

Learn from the experts and let them help you choose some of the earliest bloomers of the season to brighten up a drab space in your garden.
