Lucy Hardiman is a fifth generation Oregon gardener and is passionate about plants, gardens, and the people who make them. She spends most of her time designing gardens though her design practice, Perennial Partners. She also is a member of the Great Plant Picks Selection Committee and past president of the Hardy Plant Society of Oregon.

A popular garden writer, teacher and lecturer, Lucy is a contributing editor for Horticulture magazine, pens a column for Northwest Garden News and writes for Pacific Horticulture. She also contributes to numerous national and regional gardening magazines. Her perspective on gardening and garden design is delivered with her unique witty sensibility.
