Adrian BloomAdrian Bloom – Nurseryman, gardener, writer, and president of the famous Blooms of Bressingham nursery of Norfolk England, Adrian Bloom is the author of Gardening with Perennials & Grasses Year Round, to be published by Timber Press in May, 2010. He also co-authored, with his father Alan, the widely acclaimed Blooms of Bressingham Garden Plants and wrote Adrian Bloom’s Year-Round Garden Glory, which provides planting ideas and plans to create year-round interest in any size garden, and Gardening with Conifers, an encyclopedic reference to using conifers in the garden.

Ros CreasyRos Creasy – Author and landscape designer Ros Creasy has been considered the leading authority on edible landscaping since her groundbreaking book, The Complete Book of Edible Landscaping (Sierra Club Books, 1982). It has become a contemporary classic, and was named one of the 75 Great American Garden Books by the American Horticultural Society. Ros just completed a new edition of this best-selling book, updating it to incorporate the latest tips, techniques and trends to meet the rising popularity of edible and sustainable landscaping. In addition to all her books, Ros is a designer of landscapes that include edible, native and drought tolerant plants.

Joe Eck and Wayne WinterrowdJoe Eck & Wayne Winterrowd - Joe Eck and Wayne Winterrowd, partners in North Hill, the garden design firm they founded in 1977, have also created a celebrated garden of the same name. They are the authors of Our Life in Gardens (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2009). Both travel extensively throughout the US and Canada as design consultants, and as lecturers on horticultural subjects and on garden design. Wayne Winterrowd is the author of Annuals for Connoisseurs and Joe Eck is the author of Elements of Garden Design. Together they have written two books, one on the evolution of their own garden, The Year at North Hill and the other an apologia for vegetable gardens, Living Seasonally. Both Joe Eck and Wayne Winterrowd are frequent contributors to Horticulture magazine.

Mary Palmer DarganMary Palmer Dargan, ASLA, along with her husband Hugh Dargan, is a principal of Dargan Landscape Architects, located in Atlanta. She is the coauthor of Timeless Landscape Design: The Four-Part Master Plan (Gibbs Smith, 2007).Prior to earning her Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from LSU in 1981, she was education director and botanist at Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Fine Art in Nashville. In 1992, the Dargans were named by Southern Accents as two of the South's leading landscape architects. Awards include both Regional and National Awards of Merit from the American Society of Landscape Architects. Several of their projects currently air on Ground Breakers and Secret Gardens Of... weekly, primetime television series produced by (HGTV).

Charles Price & Glenn WitheyCharles Price & Glenn Withey – Charles Price & Glenn Withey have been designing gardens together since 1985, and are perhaps best known for their innovative and bold use of color, their extravagant container gardens and their knowledge of perennials. Since 1997 they have served as curators and caretakers for Seattle’s E.B. Dunn Historic Garden. They were co-designers of the original NPA Border at the Bellevue Botanical Garden and in 2007 they began work on the redesign and renovation of an all new NPA Border. Their work has been featured in Sunset, Horticulture, RHS ‘The Garden,’ Metropolitan Home, Fine Gardening and others. 

Nick StaddonNicholas Staddon - Nicholas Staddon is the Director of New Plant Introductions for Monrovia and has been a Monrovia Craftsmen for fourteen years. He works closely with breeders, hybridizers, and his favorite group of people, professional plant hunters, who scour the globe for new creations and discoveries in the plant world. Nicholas was born in England and has lived in the United States for nearly twenty years, now residing in California. Consumed with a passion for plants and living creatures, Nicholas travels extensively for Monrovia in his quest to discover truly great new plants for American gardeners to lavish their attention on. 

Steve LortonSteve Lorton - Steve Lorton was at Sunset Magazine for 33 years, most recently as the Northwest Bureau Chief. The Senke School of Ikebana gave him their first and only honorary membership.  He started the Seattle Street Tree Advisory Board for the City of Seattle, served on the Executive Boards of the Washington Park Arboretum, The Northwest Horticulture Society, The Arboretum Bulletin Editorial Board, and the Northwest Trail of the Woodland Park Zoological Gardens.  He has written extensively about gardens in America, Canada, Japan, Korea, Finland, England, Spain, France and Brazil.

Riz ReyesRiz Reyes – Riz works part-time as the Soest Perennial Display Gardener at the UW Botanic Gardens at CUH and runs his own horticultural design and consulting business, and a small nursery operation. He also blogs as “The Next Generation Gardener.” Riz will serve as the weekend moderator.
